Bookkeeper - Odoo Specialist

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible 40 hours a week with weekly catch ups within Eastern business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts in Odoo
  • Reconcile payment processor transactions from Stripe and Converge, including batch payments that span multiple accounting systems
  • Verify and confirm accuracy of previous bookkeeping work completed by external contractors
  • Handle complex reconciliation scenarios involving refunds, deposits, and cross-system transactions between QuickBooks historical data and current Odoo records
  • Process and categorize 200-250+ monthly transactions with varying seasonal volumes
  • Calculate and process sales tax filings
  • Prepare commission calculations for sales team
  • Research and independently resolve transaction categorization questions using available resources
  • Maintain accurate vendor bill payments and ensure proper application to outstanding credits


​Requirements:
  • Proven experience with Odoo accounting software (essential)
  • Strong background in bookkeeping and accounting reconciliation
  • Experience with payment processor reconciliation, particularly Stripe and Converge
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems without excessive supervision
  • Strong analytical skills to research and categorize transactions using historical data
  • Experience with QuickBooks (helpful for referencing historical categorizations)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Strong communication skills with ability to ask targeted, well-researched questions when needed
